Calling all PCOs! Trainings, Doorbelling, and More:

Precinct Committee Officers are the grassroots of our Democratic Party, working the ground game to meet face to face with voters in their precincts to talk about our endorsed candidates, policies, and resolutions. Our local candidates rely on the work we do in our precincts to win their elections. With this year’s primary elections coming up in just 5 weeks, it is vital that we all take the time to get out and talk with voters.

How do you know who to talk to? How do you keep track of who you’ve spoken with? Where do you even start?

The Washington State Democratic party has put together trainings to help teach PCOs how to use our VoteBuilder systems to put together walking lists for your registered voters, questionnaires, and keep track of the people in your neighborhood you’ve talked to. Those pre-recorded trainings and PCO documents were sent out to all PCOs in the Snohomish County Democrats in late June. If you’d like them to be directly sent to you, please email 38thlegislativedistrict@gmail.com!

Another thought you may have is, am I really comfortable going door to door in my neighborhood by myself? And the answer to that is that you do not have to! You can enlist the help of a friend, a fellow PCO or member of your Precinct, or join one of our Endorsed Candidates doorbelling events! They’ll provide additional guidance for how to talk to your voters about the upcoming elections and help you put together pairs and groups for doorbelling.

Take the training created by Robin McGee and Al Apodaca of the Snohomish County Democrats PCO Committee today to get acquainted with the VoteBuilder system, find your doorbelling buddies, and take action today! If you need the trainings emailed to you again, please email us at 38thlegislativedistrict@gmail.com!
